STUDIO POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Policies as of June 1, 2016

 

  • Tuition is billed on a month to month basis due on the 1st of every month. There will be a $20 late fee for all tuition paid after the 5th.  Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover)
  • There will be a $30 charge for all returned checks.  After the 2nd returned check, the account will be placed on a cash-only status.
  • You can create an account on our “My Account” page to manage your account and pay online!
  • Cancellations must be made via email by the 25th.  No cancellations will be accepted by phone, no exceptions.  No refunds or credits will be given if you cancel after the billing date, or if the dancer misses class.  Once cancellations have been processed, dancers will be charged a re-registration fee if they wish to re-enroll.
  • Dancers arriving more than 15 minutes late to class will not be permitted to dance.  This is not only a disruption to the class that is already in session, but a safety issues, as the dancer will not be properly warmed up.
  • Dancers must be picked up within 10 minutes of finishing class.
  • Make-up classes are available August-March.  Make-ups cannot be done April-June as classes are working on specific choreography for the end of the year recital.  Make-ups must be scheduled with the front desk at least 24 hours prior to the class start time.  The studio reserves the right to refuse any unscheduled make-up.  Make-ups must be used within 30 days of absence, and no credit or refund will be given if not used within that time period.
  • We strive to provide dancers with the highest quality training possible.  In order to do so, we ask for parent cooperation when viewing classes.
  • No food, drink or gum of any kind is allowed inside of the studios.  Water will always be allowed and all dancers should have water with them for every class.
  • The studio is not responsible for any losses of personal property or valuables.  Any clothing, shoes, toys, jewelry or reusable water bottles left at the studio will be places in lost & found.  The lost & found will be emptied and donated to charity on the first of every month.
  • Siblings of dancers, as well as dancers under the age of 8, should not be left unattended at any time.  Prestige Dance Company and its employees are not responsible for any unattended children.

TINY TOTS

  • Any leotard, ballet skirt or dress
  • Ballet slippers
  • Hair must be pulled back and secured in a ponytail or bun

COMBO

  • Any leotard, ballet skirt or dress
  • Ballet slippers, tap shoes
  • Hair must be pulled back and secured in a ponytail or bun

JAZZ/LYRICAL/TURNS AND JUMPS

  • Fitted dancewear
  • Leotards, jazz pants or shorts, crop tops and briefs are all acceptable
  • No baggy clothing
  • Jazz shoes

TAP

  • Fitted dancewear
  • Tap shoes

HIP HOP

  • Comfortable clothing
  • No excessive baggy clothing
  • Tennis shoes

BALLET

  • Black leotard
  • Full length pink tights
  • Ballet shoes
  • Hair must be pulled back in a secured bun
