Mary began dancing at the age of 10 and quickly realized that it was her passion. She began immersing herself in all things dance. She received her training in jazz, tap and musical theater at The Dance Affair in Northern California. It is here that she also fell in love with performing. Mary also trained and performed with San Jose Children’s Musical Theater as a core dancer and soon began to concentrate most of her dance training in the area of tap. Her senior year of high school she was invited on as a student teacher and has never looked back. As well as tap, she has concentrated her time with the toddler aged dancers helping to give them a solid foundation with which to build their dance careers as well as grow their lifelong love of dance. Mary has choreographed many award winning solos, duos and groups including a recent first place finish at Nationals in Las Vegas. She has also received “Top Teacher” awards at many competitions. Mary is a proud wife and mother of two. She is so proud to be a part of this project and the opportunity to continue to live her passion.

Travis Preston has been training in dance since the age of eleven. To this day, he continues his training in the styles of contemporary, jazz, ballet, and hip hop throughout Southern California. During his competition years, Travis was a part of the number one rated dance studio in the nation, winning numerous overall awards in both the region and nation. As a choreographer, he has received choreography awards with high scoring routines, and travels out of the area and state to set pieces. He is currently represented by Bloc Talent Agency of Los Angeles in the dance department and a member of Points Of View Modern Theatrical Dance Company under the direction of Terry Schulke.

Shayla is a student of all dance styles, including  ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, modern & salsa.  While attending the Orange County High School of the Arts, as well as Cornish College of the Arts, she performed in many dances and stage productions; as well as  being seen in commercial and on film.  Her teaching and choreography background includes instructing  for Just Plain Dancin’ Company, as well as our home studio, Prestige Dance Company.

Caitlyn began dancing at the age of 2 and grew up training all genres of dance including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, and hip-hop. When she turned 9 years old she realized her true love classical ballet and began to focus on training intensely for a professional career. Caitlyn’s year round training was provided by some of the leading ballet schools in Southern California and her technique and artistry was cultivated mainly by Terri Russell, Lori-Michelle & Ben Houk, Dana Nelson, and Jose Chavez. Along with serious instruction during the year her training was supplemented by summer intensives with world renowned schools and companies such as American Ballet Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet West, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. Caitlyn began her career dancing for professional ballet companies at the age of 17 and has danced for the professional companies City Ballet of San Diego, State Street Ballet, and currently California Ballet. Since she has been 16 years old Caitlyn has taught ballet, pointe, stretch, and conditioning to all levels of dancers and guiding them to be the best dancers they can possibly be.  Teaching the next generation of dancers is something she is extremely passionate about and is so happy to help students grow in their technique, artistry, and love for dance!

 

Jasmine Beaulieu
Jasmine, also known as Jazzy B, began her dancing career at the young age of 8 in Los Angeles, Ca. She has trained in the styles of Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Musical Theater and Hip Hop under some of the industry’s most notable choreographers. After signing with the Bobbi Ball Talent Agency and booking her first professional job at the age of 13 under the direction of Tony Tee, Jazzy B’s unmatchable stage performance and dance talents led her to be featured on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Dance Spirit Magazine, and with numerous awards and scholarships from competitions and conventions.  While receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Marketing, Jazzy B realized her passion for mentorship and producing/developing talent in youth. Her skills as a trainer and choreographer have earned her numerous choreography awards and national championship titles, as well as having her students features on So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent, in national commercials, and in videos/live performances with major artists. She also uses her passion for dance as a way to give back to her local community by participating in and choreographing for several non-profit organizations, and even recently created a new arts curriculum and instructs a dance program  within the California State Prison System through the Prison Education Project. She considers herself to be a multi-versatile dancer, performer, and choreographer, who believes in instilling work ethic and perseverance  in all of her students.

 

Alysha Verne
Alysha has danced since the age of two in all styles of dance.  She has danced on her middle school & high school dance teams; and has received numerous awards throughout her competitive dancing career.  Alysha loves teaching and sharing her passion for dance!

Kelly Randolph
Kelly teaches the conditioning classes at PDC.  She attended SDSU and received a B.S. in Child and Family Development, and a M.S. in Rehabilitative Counseling.  She has been an athlete her whole life – Kelly has played soccer since she was 5, has run multiple marathons, and even completed a triathlon, and she enjoyed coaching soccer and gymnastics through her college years. Currently, Kelly is working on her personal training certificate through the National Association of Fitness Certification.  Health and wellness are a great passion, and Kelly strongly believes that all athletes, no matter their sport, must maintain a healthy balance of nutrition and physical activity in order to avoid injury and become the best athletes they can be.  She enjoys all aspects of fitness and is eager to spread that passion to others.
